Charityworks provides non-profit organisations with a cost-effective way of recruiting brilliant new talent at the same time as providing high potential graduates and the next generation of leaders with a programme to develop their careers in the third sector.
Charityworks’ is the UK non-profit sector graduate scheme, accessible to all organisations regardless of size, profile, or activity – and a proven, affordable way to find and develop brilliant graduate talent for your organisation.
Each year Charityworks attracts a pool of the most talented graduates, ready to fill live vacancies in organisations across almost any function, from the frontline to business development, fundraising, communications, HR, finance and many more.
Graduate trainees spend 12 months in your organisation in a full time paid role whilst taking part in an ILM-endorsed leadership programme with mentoring, peer coaching, conferences and undertaking research to benefit your organisation.
As someone who has spent over 20 years working in and around the social sector, I know that being a manager and leader in this sector can be as exhausting and challenging in its low moments as it can be rewarding and thrilling at its high points.
The current political and economic landscape is one of the most challenging I can remember this sector operating in. Many of our partners are being expected to deliver more and more, with less and less, meaning that a lot of pressure inevitably falls on the people that make up the organisations trying to meet this demand, and we are lucky to have so many talented and determined people dedicating their time to social change and having an impact.
Charityworks exists in this context. To place talented and committed graduates into the teams and organisations focused on serving the people, communities and causes that rely on them, even in the most testing circumstances.
Our belief is that it is only by attracting and developing great people can we expect to make the kind of change we want to see in society. I hope your team can join us and experience the support and challenge that having a talented person in your team can bring, and the hugely positive impact a potential Charityworks trainee might offer this year or beyond.
We would be delighted to welcome you to the programme.
Charityworks has been a Times Top 100 Graduate Employer for three years running.
This year we’ve taken a record 5,500 applicants through a rigorous recruitment and selection process comprising written, group-based and strategic exercises and a panel interview. All candidates were assessed against a robust competency framework, designed from over a decade of best practice in recruiting graduates
